DIY Patio and Garden...

I have a friend and blogger who has creative talent when it comes to
home and garden decor that most of us only dream about.
She can put together a great 'look' with very little monies.
And SHE is the one that does it.  Due to life's changes -
she recently moved and had a new outdoor space to play with.
I invited myself for a private tour... come join me!

This first shot shows what she was working with...
simply a concrete slab under a deck.  Nothing else was there.
Those French doors are to a daylight basement...her new basement apartment.
Now - let's back up and look at the space in front of the porch.
She brought in free horse manure ('cause it was available from a neighbor)
and stones from near by (yep, using a skid loader) - to level and create walls...

A young grandson also helped.
Main Entrance

Don't miss that bubbling fountain!
Now onto the porch itself...

A close-up of that wall back there...

Burlap panels (actually landscape fabric) hang at the posts.
That simple addition 'makes' this space...

The large table is actually 2 tables and can be arranged to sit square
or end on end for 1 long table.  It was built by Her Honey
while he was still in good health to her specifications and design

Now we'll check out the other side of the porch -
where you can see the arch in the photo above.

It is her vegetable garden area...

With its own entrance from the yard below...

 Even raised beds get decorated...

And a final shot of that back corner...
For more DIY garden space inspiration... visit my tour
of her previous garden here and here.
And to see her garden in process and more shots -
visit her I Love My Garden post at her blog.

Check back soon for a post from the inside of her sweet apartment.
Thanks Esther!
