Flowers Appear On the Earth...

...the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of singing has come...
The fig tree puts forth her green figs,
and the vines with the tender grapes
give a good smell.

We are really enjoying our flowers beds and
backyard this year.  Here are a few more close-ups
for you...all compliments of My Love...just today.

Did you take time to worship the Creator
this Lord's Day?
(Hoping to have more time to blog this coming week -
thanks for staying with me!)

Bath Time...

Ever hear the song - 'don't put your cat in the
washing machine'?  It's about not giving your cat
a bath.  Well sometimes - my cat needs one...
...it seems to invoke sheer terror...poor thing.
But afterward - she's none the worse for wear...
And just in case you've never heard it...
Enjoy your day!

$1 Backyard Transformation...

I've had this old picket snow fence for several
years now. The original plan was to sell it -
but I just wasn't finding space in my booth.
Turns out - that was a good thing!
Saturday - my Love and I - finally took the time
to add it our backyard.  It creates a nice barrier
to the wooded property we border.
Yes - I paid $1 for it at a yard sale.
We already had the flower beds in place - but
they looked a little lame.  The plants are all free perennials that I've divided from other plants over
the years.  The rocks were where the fence is
now - but weren't 'working' that great.
Said rocks were 'free' - gathered from my sister's
rock pile from when they dig rocks out of their
farm fields for planting.
Moving the rocks to the foreground seems to
'work' better...
The fence didn't span the width of the whole
garden - so I used some of the rocks to create
a little path where the fence ends.  It's an easy
access to the compost pile in the back.

Here's a shot from a recent post of the same
area 'before'.  But this looks really bad 'cause
the flowers aren't up yet.
I'm just loving my new back yard!

Responding to Blog Comments...

I love to receive comments on my blog -
don't you?  I like to leave comments
on others' blogs - don't you?  But we're all
busy... spinning our wheels so-to-speak...
taken at Ephrata Cloister living history museum
Leaving and receiving comments is so much
fun because it gives the opportunity to make
a new blogging friend.
Responding to a comment when someone takes the time to
leave one is like sending a 'thank you' for
a gift you've been given.
(I think most of us understand that if you've received umpteen
comments, it's not reality to respond to each one.)
But in our busyness - most of us will not return to the blog post
where we left a comment to see if the blogger responded.
So... instead of responding on the blog post where
a comment was made - reply to the email you
receive that a comment has been made.
Just... click 'reply'.
Your response will be delivered to the
commenters inbox in record time -
no follow-up 'checking' required.
But first - make sure you have your email address in the
Comment Notification section.  You can find this under Settings -
-and then Comments (near the bottom of the page).
Even my friends who have left anonymous
comments have received my responses.
