Etsy seller Cabin Windows recently put together a wonderful collage treasury.   Entitled - "Miss Manners says don't fight - be polite" - is a reminder to be kind in the midst of the hustle and bustle of this busy Holiday season.  I was honored to be included in the mix.  Take a minute to view the whole treasury.

Christmas Card Love

Do  you send Christmas cards?  I love sending and receiving actual cards at Christmas - even more than family photo cards.  And turns out - Christmas cards are half price many places right now.  So at my local department store I found some OK cards (did I mention I love pretty cards?) for $3 a box.  I'm not in love with them - but they'll do...And they did have a pretty verse...

"At this holy time of year,

let us rejoice!

Have a blessed Christmas!"

 But then - I made my weekly stop at my local thrift shop.  Cards are half price there too.  Look at these Hallmark beauties I found for....(drumroll)...$1.50 a box!  Original Hallmark price tag - $13.99.  And I am in love with these.  Such soft coloring - yep - they were keepers... And the meaningful verse ...

"Behold the Lamb of God

May you find new meaning and hope

in the joy of the Christ Child's birth

and in His everlasting presence

in our world."

An Evening at Fleur Cottage

Just last evening - I had the pleasure of meeting Esther of Fleur Cottage.  Her home is a delight in white!  We met online just a short time ago and learned we lived not that far apart.   She hosted a Christmas Open House and invited hubby and I to attend... what joy!  Her talent and creativity are amazing - not to mention she's a sweetheart.  You'll want to spend some time on her blog  - she finished her bedroom  just last week. 

Some of the pretty vignettes that caught my eye...beginning on her front porch - a cupboard made from shutters...

These aqua Mason jars popped against the white in her bay window...

Loved this desk in her guest room...

And who would have thought of floating candles in the bathroom sink?
