I've been wanting a larger nativity set for a while now. Several weeks ago,
I was at 'my' thrift shop and there sat a very pretty set for just $29.99.
It is the focal point of my living room this year...
I've added some lights for nighttime glow...
It is a fun set - full of 'extras' - like this bin of straw and removable ladder...
My mantel is close by and I've given it the feel of the shepherd's hillside...
I only have 2 angels because a girl can only have so much 'stuff'...
The jewel tones of the nativity set influenced the burgundy
and gold tones of our small tree...

I'm a bit behind - my porch still has pumpkins on it! Shhh...

I really like your nativity scene and the Shepherds hillside. I love Angels. I seem to collect them. People give them to me as gifts and I find them everywhere I go. I truly believe that angels are watching over us every second of every day. It's a very comforting thought to me. I hope you have a lovely weekend my friend.

I've always thought nativity sets were pretty but I've never owned one. Yours is really special. I love your mantel too. Oh, I somehow missed your Thanksgiving post. Your decorations were pretty then too.
