Sometimes the back of a piece of porcelain or pottery is just as pretty as the piece itself. I'm referring to the beauty of makers marks. Those marks and stamps used to identify the pattern and the company that produced the item. Some are quite amazing...
So flip your dishes over and enjoy the show!

That is the first thing I do when I find a piece I like is to look at the mark. The marks are are in themselves sometime. ~~Sherry~~
I was very young when I first started "flipping" dishes over... I used to go looking in my Grandmom's cabinet and check out what she had. Who knew I would end up in the biz? I love that first mark...almost a piece of art.
