Revamp It to Sell It - Christmas Gift Tag Box...

I'm on a mission to make-over stale inventory to get it sold.
This is my 3rd project.  See the first 2 here.
Today I worked on this old file box in a great seasonal red.

An Amberg Co. file box -  this once stored cancelled checks.
But today - I think it would work well...
...for storing handmade gift tags.
So I made a bunch of tags (Christmas and vintage all- occasion)...

...added a bow to the box and am offering them together
in my shop as a Christmas gift card box.
Even the bow is from recycled snippets.
Looks much cuter as a little wrapped present...
...than the plain red box it was 'before' -  dontcha think?

But with only 3 projects under my belt - - I'd better get moving.
This one has 'sold'... so that'll help the motivation!

How do you move stale inventory?

Fast & Free Fall or Thanksgiving Tablescape...

Need a quick idea for your upcoming Thanksgiving table decor?
(Use what YOU have and this can be free!)
I put this tablescape together for a brunch I hosted today.
My theme started with these little twig bundle place cards...

I decided to work with the twig theme a little more
  Let's break it down:

Lace tablecloth
Burlap ribbon down center of table
Fall colored plates
Fall themed tumblers -  (just cause I had some)
2 Wooden candlesticks with tapers in coordinating colors
Small wooden cutting board
Pillar candle on cutting board in coordinating color
Fall or Thanksgiving figures (2 green quail and 1 pumpkin in my case)
Intertwined twigs from my yard and pheasant feathers

There ya go - instant table!

My leaf placecards were traced from an actual leaf on sheet music.
A metallic gold pen to the edges helps make them 'pop'.
I think I'll just keep this scape in place for Thanksgiving next week.
There are new people coming and they don't read my blog so I'm good to go.
Brrr...it's getting cold!

Favorite Find and Project...

Sharing two of my favorite things from this week.
First -  our recently done front porch now has a
new brick path leading from it...
(There is one more to replace as you can see heading to the rail fence)

And look at these cuteys I picked up for $1 each
and nicer than what's out there this year...

Happy Birds...

and Happy Boots!

Anything fun from your week?

Running Over...

Our sermon this morning was on giving....
the giving of time, forgiveness, kindness, etc.
There is a promise attached to the command to give-
that we will be given a 'running over' measure in return.
Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap
a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over.
For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.
Luke 6:38

What can you give this week?  What can I?
Not to get - but to bless!

Saturday Projects...

It's a day for projects at our home.
My Love is outside working hard on making a
new walk that leads from our new porch...
And I've been working on some signs...
What has your Saturday looked like?
