A patched together lifestyle of thrift and charm...

Favorite Find...

While I've found all kinds of nifty little treasures in the past week - I'm especially partial to this one.  Maybe it's because of my friend's collection that I recently highlighted.  At any rate - just look at this beauty - in excellent condition...
Found at the flea market for just a couple bucks!
Charles Kingsley - who lived in the 1800s, was a professor of modern history at Cambridge University.  He wrote several books, including The Water Babies, and of course many poems.

 I found a couple of his quotes that I thought needed sharing...

"Have thy tools ready. God will find thee work."
~~~~~~~
"All we need to make us really happy is something to be enthusiastic about."
And I'll leave you with a portion of poetry that can
be found in Kingsleys Poems (click to purchase)...
Easter Week by Charles Kingsley
See the land, her Easter keeping,
Rises as her Maker rose.
Seeds, so long in darkness sleeping,
Burst at last from winter snows.
Joining A La Carte's Junkin Finds Friday - this is a fun one!
I would buy that book for the cover/binding alone, but love the "Have thy tools ready..."
Good advice.
