Friend's Living and Dining Areas...

living and dining rooms.  

The dining room is almost a sunroom...

 Love that huge urn in the corner...

 The red check chair is where she has her 

'quiet' times...

Moving on to her living room - she has one 

whole wall of books...

A Friend's Kitchen Details...

I was invited to a friend's house for tea today.  

(How blessed am I?)  Her home is so lovely - 

very European French Country.  Today - 

for  White Wednesday - let's take a peek 

at her kitchen...

 Where do you find shelf brackets like that?  

I've been looking for years... 

Silver tea caddy does hold tea!

 

And did I mention - they built their home 

and did most everything themselves? 

Took them many years - but it's a charmer...

She has poinsettias everywhere - 

and they're wonderful!

 No silverware drawer - everything's 

out and easily accessible...

 A pot rack to truly be envious of...

An extra hutch for 'pretty' dishes...

A peek inside the chicken wire cupboard 

you see below...

Yep - all this deliousness is truly in her small 

kitchen.  Including an extra sink for food prep.

And the green bowl?  Filled with mixed nuts

for the Christmas season of course...

This vintage stove has been converted

for modern use...

The kitchen even houses this 'extra heat source' 

wood stove.  See those big copper cans?  

They holding kindling to start the fire...

Trunk of Junque...

Took my sis to some Holiday events on Sat.  

First stop was a Winterfest in a nearby village.  

This gal's home was turned into a bakery - 

but they had sold out till we got there.  

Still - a cute front porch display...

Then we were off to a Candlelight home tour.  

Took almost no pictures - but was intrigued with 

this trunk display.  

It is just stuffed full of vintage goodness...

 A great way to store childhood toys

and memories.  Cute!
