From My Week - Saturday Sightings...

I had the pleasure of spending time in a very scenic mountain

 region this week.  The morning was foggy...

But when the sun came out - what a view! 

This young lady happened to walk into my photo shoot - love it!

There was even a small covered bridge... 

Tis the season for visiting pumpkin farms...

And last - I was near a friend's house one morning so drove past 

& snapped a picture of her recently built backyard barn.  

Is it not just perfect?

Saturday Sightings - Barren Trees...

From my little neighborhood walk today I noticed

a beauty in the barrenness of winter.  

Trees without leaves give an artistic display -  

what feathery graces they cast against the heavens... 

Some appear jagged and almost ominous in their stance - 

but still give a striking performance...

And three trunks in one?  Not every tree can say that... 

I love a tree not perfectly in balance; 

but happily spread out and slightly askew...

But a nicely mounded treetop?  Always a pleasure to behold...

Perhaps trees are a bit like people.  

A bit of a jumbled mess yet each perfectly their own...  

...and each designed to reach upward toward their Creator.

Saturday Sightings - A Winter Nature Walk...

Took a little walk today to see what we could see...

God is a beautiful artist...

Our first snow and ice arrived during the night...

Making even gray blue pods...

and corn cobs look pretty.

So go take a hike!
