Growing Roots...

Sometimes I pick up little things because I like them - but have 

no idea how I'm going to use them.  Such was the case 

with this teeny little bottle.  Turns out - it is perfect for 

growing roots from my plant cuttings.

I keep pinching back my coleus plants so they grow 

fuller and bushier.  Then I plop the cuttings in water - 

wait a week or so - and I have new flowers to plant.   

Add a pretty container - and they are great for gift giving!

My New Past Time...

Several weeks ago - I was approached about a job offer where 

My Love works.  It's a work-from-home position, part time and 

pretty much the perfect job.  So here I sit in my little office, 

next to my sewing machine and made from bedspread curtains...

with 2 computer screens, the company telephone and 

shelves of antique inventory overhead.

But let's look at the sewing machine closer.  See that cutey on top?  This bird-on-a-spool pin cushion was made by and

given to me from a dear friend.

Did I mention I work for a farm equipment company?  

Whod'a thunk?

It's amazing the twists and turns our lives take.

Motorhead For a Day...

I'm not a big race car fan.  But for one day this week - 

I found myself at a drag race and Chevy car show.  

Yep - it was smoke and loud engines and speed...

My Love's interest was this orange Camaro beauty...

But we found mutual interest in this old 50's Chevy Suburban...
