Sweet Potatoes for Dessert...

We just dug up our sweet potatoes - a new thing for us.
And they're almost pink!
I'm looking forward to baked sweet potatoes with
butter and brown sugar...
But look what I spotted today on Days of Chalk and Choclate...

And just look at that adorable packaging!
Guess what I'll be whipping up in a few days.  And with only
1 1/2 c. of flour they will not be expensive to make gluten free.  Thanks Jenny for the inspiration!

Mending...

Several years ago I made myself a reversible
Christmas table runner from an old flannel shirt
and fabric scraps.  Loved those fabrics...

But last year - I had a little candle accident...
It only took me till October to remove the offending panels
and stitch it back together  It's a little shorter now...
but I'll still enjoy those fabrics on my Winter table.

Free Pile Make-Over...

I've been having lots of difficulty getting any pictures taken.   Too many rainy days and not enough time.  But the other week - I did finish a little project and today I finally took some pictures.
Found this little wall cupboard on a 'free' pile.
Gave it a couple of coats of creamy white paint,
did a bit of sanding and added some glaze.

 Nothing fancy (and I don't know why I didn't
decorate it for the pictures).  But I like it!

Trees On the Land...

Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation:
seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit
with seed in it, according to their various kinds."
And it was so.
Genesis 1:11
In Costa Rica (we visited my brother there
a few years ago) they plant 'live' fences.

Redoing My Fall Porch Already...

No - I don't have ADD - but my huge pumpkin that we grew ourselves developed bugs and decay and needed to be
removed from my front porch display.  So - I did a quick
rearrange using the same old wagon...
Moved the one choleus plant into the wagon to replace the
large pumpkin and added some faux florals to fill it out...
The Before...

 Such a sweet little wagon...
